Optivida Silver Liquid – 10ppm

PPM, or “parts per million”, is a ratio measuring how many units of solute are in one million units of solvent. Unlike ionic and colloidal silvers, which require high concentrates of silver to have positive effects, Optivida Silver uses a proprietary formula that is stable and effective at low potency. In studies published in PubMed, in September 2020 researchers concluded that the most effective concentration of silver for disabling pathogens was 10 ppm. That is the same concentration used by Optivida Nano-Silver.

The short answer, no. One of the other main concerns individuals have had with silver products is a rare skin condition known as argyria, otherwise known as the blue man syndrome. Put simply, argyria is a result of there being so much chemical or ionic silver in the body at one time that the body cannot dispose of it fast enough through its normal excretion systems. In order to get rid of this excess silver, the body walls it off in the cells. This causes a grayish blue discoloration. Although this condition is medically benign and cosmetic only, in most cases the discoloration is permanent. Developing argyria from their patented nano silver is nearly impossible for two reasons. One: Optivida’s silver particles are excreted from the body within 24 hours. Therefore, supplements made with their silver particles can normally be ingested daily as a dietary supplement without building up in the body. Two: argyria develops with high concentrations of silver. Other silver products can flood your body with hundreds or thousands of silver parts per million. That can cause a buildup of silver. Their formula uses small dosages, between 10 and 60 ppm, because it is engineered to work at low dosages.

There is a lot of misconception currently surrounding whether nano-silver should be stored in plastic or glass bottles. But in reality, studies have shown that hard, food grade plastic does not negatively affect silver. In fact, it was found that over time, glass was more harmful.

Yes, but they do vary by weight. If they are 1-10 lbs, Optivida suggests ⅓ of a teaspoon twice a day. If they are at 11-25 lbs, Optivida suggests ½ teaspoon twice a day. 26 – 50 lbs, 1 teaspoon twice a day. Any animal from 51 – 100 lbs, 2 teaspoon twice a day. After that range, 1 oz per 100 lbs twice a day.
