Why is this zinc supplement different than many others on the market?
We carefully source an enzyme activated form of zinc for this supplement. An essential mineral that’s second only to iron in its concentration in the body, zinc is often referred to as the “intelligence mineral.” Functionally, the liver also needs zinc in sufficient amounts so it can mobilize and release stored vitamin A into the bloodstream. What is new about this formula and what remains the same?
This form of zinc (enzyme activated) is most common to what we have used in past formulations. What’s new is the addition of the 2 billion CFU** of Bacillus subtilis. The key takeaway is that zinc remains as one of the most key nutrients the body needs and we are providing that in a recognizable form plus the addition of soil-based organisms to help support healthy gut-mediated immunity.*
Why is Bacillus subtilis included in these products?
Because it is a spore-forming bacteria, Bacillus subtilis is generally not subject to destruction by stomach acid, bile, caffeine, or heat. That means you’re generally going to receive a very high percentage of that 2 billion CFU** delivered to where you need it most.
What form of zinc is found in this formulation?
This is a whole-food fermented, enzyme activated zinc. “Enzyme activated” zinc differs from elemental zinc or amino acid chelated zinc where it is bound to one or two things. This form is typically much more recognizable to the body than zinc gluconate or others on the market.
Why aren’t your products labeled as being “dairy-free” or “nut free”?
Our products do not contain dairy, grains, nuts or soy; however, they are manufactured in facilities that may carry these allergens. This being said, all of our manufacturing partners are required to have and follow a thorough Allergen Program. The Allergen Program is to prevent the cross contamination of raw materials and processing of finished goods, where allergens may be present. Simply put, when it comes to our products and our suppliers, we follow industry best practices for full transparency and accuracy concerning our products. Therefore, where applicable for our products, we use the wording “made without dairy” and “made without nuts.”
